In order to offer a better and wider range of services, the popular thermal baths needed to expand to include a medical treatment centre. The complex now houses treatment rooms, as well as various thermal and therapeutic pools. A special feature of the building is the way in which its two wings are linked: the result is a pleasingly varied harmony that is emphasized by the whiteness of the exterior wall. The wings enfold a small inner courtyard. The atrium is surrounded by glass walls that break up the light, mirroring objects and spaces. The two-storeyed part of the building is more enclosed on the street side: that is where the treatment, examination and changing rooms are situated. Meanwhile its single-storey counterpart opens up with broad glass surfaces in the direction of the open-air pools. The indoor pool area connects nature with the man-made courtyard, achieving a smooth transition between them. The larger openings on the wings appear in the form of indentations. This fluidity of the façade complements the dynamic feel that the movement of the wings gives. The light has different ways of getting into the pool area: sometimes unexpectedly from above; sometimes from the side, accentuating the beauty of the landscape; and sometimes mirrored, creating the illusion of infinity in the atrium and the rooms beyond it.
